The plate is two layers of fused glass. The blue opalescent and blue skies pearl glass is capped with a layer of clear to provide depth. It is initially fired at 1465 degrees Fahrenheit to form the base plate. The is fired a second time to create the final shape.

Food safe. Clean with warm soapy water.
Not microwave safe. Not dishwasher safe.
Use of votive or electric votive candles recommended. If a wax candle is used, be sure the wax is contained in the well of the candle. Hot wax pooling directly on the glass could cause it to break.
