Abstract Origami Plate
This plate is just fun. It was fun to make, and it is fun just to look at. What do you see in it? The plate has a bright chartreuse base. On that palette multiple swaths of black and yellow create irregular shapes and sizes. The result is a striking abstract design that will evoke different images for everyone who views it.
The plate is made from two layers of glass with design elements stacked on top. It is fused at 1465 degrees Fahrenheit giving it a smooth glossy finish. A second firing gives the plate an origami shape adding to its allure.

Use votive or electric votive candles only. Not for use with a wax candle. Pooling hot wax could cause the glass to break.
