Stormy Sunrise

This stained glass panel depicts a stormy seascape at sunrise. As with any stained glass panel, its appearance changes with the ambient light around it. The piece incorporates multiple layers of glass that add depth and shadows when light is transmitted from behind. Bright colors radiate in the sky and on the water. When light is projected on to the panel from the front that coloring and shadowing disappear.
 
The panel is constructed using the copper foil technique and is framed in zinc came. Suitable hangers are incorporated into the frame.
