Hummingbird Floating on Air

With the onset of summer, hummingbirds flitter from one flower to the next. The body of this one is a bright iridescent mixture of teals that will shimmer in the sunlight. Its wings are a translucent purple caught in an instant of movement. Streams of ivory and rippled clear glass create the air stream on which it floats. All for the reward of a succulent red flower.  Brighten your window with this year-around summer scene.
 
This stained glass panel is constructed using the copper foil technique. It is framed with a zinc metal frame that incorporate brass hangers.  A patina has been applied to the panel and frame. It can be hung as is or can be incorporated into a wooden frame if desired.
